If the buyer notifies The Sellery that their item arrived damaged, then the manager should follow these steps:

  1. If item is damaged and it is apparent that the culprit was poor packing:
    • debit the shipper's account for the cost of shipping per the worker shipping policy. This works as:
      • a dis-incentive for poor packing habits
      • a way of keeping the shop from loosing money due to poor worker performance.
  2. File a claim with the insurance company that the insurance was purchased from.
